Like the Strokes earlier this week, another band topping various best-of-the-decade listicles -- Montreal's Arcade Fire -- is plotting a return in 2010.

Details are vague, but according to Billboard, Arcade Fire expect to have their third album ready as soon as May 2010, and the band is currently working out details for a bit of touring in the spring. (The band hasn't appeared on stage since January's Obama Campaign Staff Ball. That Miroir Noir DVD won't tide fans over forever...)

Earlier today, a news brief out of the BBC revealed that Arcade Fire has reteamed with producer Markus Dravs (who worked as an engineer on their previous album, 2007's Neon Bible) on the upcoming record (which may or may not have come as a major revelation to fans, considering it's been well reported that the band has been in studio for months).

The first single is expected to surface in early 2010, Billboard predicts.
