Perhaps proving you can't judge a record by its overly Photoshopped cover, the first morsels of Adam Lambert's album For Your Entertainment have surfaced, as the UK Amazon site is now streaming 30-second preview clips of the record's 18 tracks.

As previously reported (ad nauseum), the singer has collaborated with more bold-faced names than you can squeeze into an Idol Gives Back lineup, with songs written by Pink ('80s-style pop-rocker "Whataya Want From Me"), Lady Gaga (stompy pop confection, "Fever"), Justin Hawkins of The Darkness (the predictably Darkness-esque glam track, "Music Again"), etc.

Among those "many, many more:" Weezer's Rivers Cuomo.

In a moment of cross-promotional synergy (Weezer's new album Raditude is out today), Cuomo has been telling the press about what it was like writing a song -- "Pick U Up" -- with the former Idol.

"He has that kind of voice I convince myself that I have," Cuomo told Rolling Stone.

And as he explained to MTV, the song was initially intended for Raditude.

"I figured it would end up on the next record and it just didn't fit this time around. Then I was invited to sit in with Adam Lambert and watch him sing, and he was checking out the song," Cuomo said. "And as it turns out, he came up with a few ideas for it for himself, changed the melody around, suggested some lyric changes and before you knew it, I was writing a song with Adam Lambert."

As for how Cuomo describes the song: "It sounds like a combination of ABBA, with beautiful pop melodies, and a disco beat like you'd hear in a Donna Summer song," he said. "But then there is this heavy guitar feel to it, like from [German techno-metal band] Rammstein or something. It's just a wonderful hybrid of all the music I love."

Listen to a few seconds of the song here before a complete version reaches your ears through legitimate (or otherwise) means.
