Teenagers aren’t exactly known for their decision-making abilities. Well, they are, but in a “this teddy bear backpack is awesome” kind of way, not a “stay home on Saturday to study for calculus” kind of way. But luckily for advertisers, teenagers are known for spending their disposable income (i.e. all of their income) on whatever nifty things have crossed their fields vision, so it’s in Fox’s best interest to put on the Teen Choice Awards every year, giving them access to a highly impressionable audience.

As with all awards shows, this year’s Teen Choice Awards had its ups and downs, so we’re taking a look at some of the ceremony’s best and worst moments.
