Golden Globe Snubs: Milk
Milk may be getting showered with love from nearly everyone (most recently the New York Film Critics Circle Awards and The National Board of Review of Motion Pictures Awards), but the much buzzed-about film was shut out of all major Golden Globe categories, with the exception of Sean Penn's nod for Best Actor. It was expected to be recognized in the Best Picture, Best Director (Gus Van Sant) and Best Supporting Actor (Josh Brolin) fields. Although the Golden Globes are traditionally seen as a barometer for the Academy Awards, don't count Milk out of the Oscar race just yet. Last years' Globes showered awards on Atonement, which got no love come Oscar time.
