Every year, we gather around our television screens to watch the Emmy awards. We start off hopeful that maybe, just maybe, this year will be the one where the Academy will finally recognize new, innovative people in television, but by the 30-minute mark, we’re ornery, belligerent and not a little bit drunk after our favourites have been passed over once again for Jeremy Piven.

Still, the 60th annual Emmy Awards weren’t all bad – or, at the very least, some parts were less bad than others. If you missed out on the ceremony – and, thus, missed out on irreversible liver damage – take a look at our choices for the night’s best and worst moments.
