Worst Way to Set the Tone for the Evening
It’s good to see that the Emmys are really committed to staying relevant by giving the best supporting actor in a comedy to… Jeremy Piven. Again. For the third time in a row. Aside from the fact that Entourage had a painful fourth season, what did Piven really bring to the show that we hadn’t already seen last year? Or the year before? The guy didn’t even bother to shave before he showed up to this year’s ceremony. Piven got in a good jab at the terrible hosts, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the fact that Neil Patrick Harris and Rainn Wilson were far more deserving of that statuette.
