Worst “Was That It?” Moment
Once the pre-taped sketch was over, it was time for Britney Spears to officially open the awards. Live! After days and days of waiting, we were on the edges of our seats as we watched Spears, in her (admittedly very cute) silver dress, exit her trailer and take the lonnnnng walk to the VMA stage in order to… rush through a few sentences and then disappear. Seriously? That’s what she spent so much time rehearsing? Of course, after last year, MTV probably didn’t want to take any chances and we can’t entirely blame them.
