The Brangelina brand now means more than mega-stardom, orphan-rearing, sexiness and the perpetual torment of poor, lonely Jennifer Aniston. The world's most super-famous couple are now jewelry designers, and have partnered with Asprey to release a high-end collection of gold, silver and jewel-spangled trinkets.
According to Women's Wear Daily, the items are expected to go on sale later this week at Asprey stores wherever ludicrously rich people are found (London, New York, Beverly Hills, Tokyo and Dubai), with all proceeds from sales going towards Education Partnership for Children of Conflict. (Jolie cofounded the organization in 2006, and it aids children affected by war and natural disasters.)
You can gawk at the baubles in our gallery, here -- and there isn't a single pendant filled with the blood of Billy Bob Thornton in the lot.
That doesn't mean the collection isn't completely lacking Jolie's freaky signature style. All the items -- which range from bangles and earrings to children's gifts such as a silver spoon, eggcup, tooth box and picture frame -- feature a serpent motif.
People says the snake theme was inspired by a serpent-shaped ring Jolie received while pregnant with daughter Shiloh, and she's since adopted the symbol as a "talisman and protector of her family."
Jolie was photographed at the 2009 BAFTA awards wearing a snake-y bangle bracelet and even her 16-month-old daughter, Vivienne, has occasionally been spotted wearing jewelry with a snake motif.
But you may have to be born with a silver (snake-shaped) spoon in your mouth to afford anything from the collection. WWD says pieces start at $525 US.
